New Policy starting 2017: Criminal Record Checks for Softball BC Umpires over 18 years of age.

At the 2016 Softball BC AGM the following motion was passed:

All umpires, age 18 and older, shall obtain a certified criminal record check and a vulnerable sector check, prior to umpiring any game, from the RCMP or a municipal police force and shall submit these record checks to the Board of Directors of Softball BC. The criminal record check and vulnerable sector check will be valid for duration of 3 years.
